A Guide to Cloud Computing (A Guide for The Internet Amateurs)

In today’s world, Cloud Computing has taken the web by storm as it delivers services such as networking, database systems, software, and analytics. Cloud computing can be used in a single organization or multiple organizations throughout multiple mediums including Prezi, Google Drive, and iCloud. To explain further, here are some benefits of cloud computing.

  1. Adaptability

You can scale the capacity for the cloud to increase or decrease and this provides businesses with a competitive advantage over the competition. Also, you can increase the storage capacity without having to consult management in order to increase it.

2. Easier Recovery

With cloud computing, you can recover lost items with no difficulty. For example, with smartphones, there is a locator feature within iOS and Android devices to assist in locating your phone, notably, Find My iPhone. Find My iPhone allows the user to erase data from your phone and track it when misplaced or lost. You can also use your phone to update itself to have an updated backup copy of your phone data in case of emergencies.

3. Teamwork

Cloud computing allows for multiple collaborators to edit and share documents anywhere and not at a specific timing, which makes group work easier to navigate. In other apps, you can stream and have live meetings, interact with the guests and host, and share your screen for the audience to view your files.

4. Suitability

The final benefit of cloud computing is its suitability for businesses. As companies are charging other companies for storage use, cloud computing offers a free alternative. You can store information on multiple devices such as a computer, tablet, phone, and websites, for example, Google Calendar and iCal.
