If I Ever Met the Celebrity of My Dreams
Elon Musk is one of the individuals in the world that I admire the most. Creative, unconventional, and smart-these are qualities that I really admire in Elon Musk’s personality. When writing the pitch for Module 6 for my class EID 100-Digital Skills: International Innovation, I thought about how I would react if I ever met him in person. Since he is a scientist, CEO of a big technology company, and one of the richest people in the world, I really needed a pitch that would garner his interest or else Elon would look at me differently. I had to think in an objective, scientific, and creative way to attract Elon Musk’s attention.
The pitch I had come up with from brainstorming for a long time is: “Hi Elon, my name is Anthony, and I’m here to discuss the methods on how people can survive on Mars by using specific technologies that I created. If you have a second, I would love the chance to discuss how my designs and prototypes might match the specific projects that SpaceX hopes to achieve. Thanks for connecting, and I hope you have a great day!” The pitch would work since Elon Musk is an unconventional individual that likes to push boundaries (ex. sending a car into space because he wanted to). His current goal is to send people to live on Mars forever to see the results, and I would be honoured to be a part of this initiative.
