Slide Pitch for my App
For my class EID 100: Digital Skills: International Innovation, I decided to create a new and innovative app called Yumm. Yumm is an app (a super app, to be exact) that combines different features. For example, the Chinese super-app WeChat is an example of how various features are built into one app. This allows for an all-in-one experience to access many different services related to food. Yumm also allows you to save phone space without many other apps, saving consumers money on purchasing another phone or cloud storage services.
Yumm’s Story
The concept of Yumm started because of the global technological market that rapidly continues to evolve. With the rise of super-apps in Asia and how they are used in everyday life, I decided to bring this trend of a super-app over to the North American market. However, within this specific super-app, I decided to make it more culinary-related because of an increased amount of people using food delivery apps and people trying to find new spots.
Yumm’s Value Proposition
Yumm should be a worthy investment for venture capitalists and aspiring investors because there is a gap in the North American market. Yumm is also collaborating with restaurants for our delivery feature and promote local businesses through our AR feature, which allows you to go inside a restaurant and look at the menu. Through this, the app will give back to the community by having a beneficially mutual relationship between customers, businesses, and the app.
The Problem
Yumm hopes to solve an existing problem within the hospitality and tourism industry and the technological industry. These industries have been hit due to the nature of COVID-19 with the nature of lockdowns and restrictions and the rise of rapidly evolving technologies such as AR, Bitcoin, and Ethereum. We hope to tackle multiple problems through multiple features within a super-app.
Yumm Product
Yumm works as a super-app, meaning that there are many different features that are going to be present within the app. For example, we will have a delivery service similar to Uber and DoorDash, an AR for the interior of restaurants, a QR scanner for ingredients used in the food ordered in restaurants, and a community forum based on Yelp. We also accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment.
